About Goli, an exciting game that I had the opportunity to work on, has quickly become one of the top-grossing games in Iran, with an impressive rating of +4.5. When I first joined Medrick FZE, I was thrilled to contribute to such a promising project. I focused on improving the metagame, including enhancing the decoration and dialogue systems. By collaborating with the team, I was able to integrate new features and mechanics that enhanced the player experience and contributed to the game's success. Witnessing the impact that my contributions had on the game was immensely rewarding, and I am proud to have played a part in its success.
My main tasks in this project:
Developing and maintaining the meta-layer
Integrating art assets into the game (3D and 2D, characters and animations, spine animations, visual effects, ...)
Improving the game feel by adding juicy animations (using DOTween)
UI scripting and layouts
Developing UI animation module; MiniTween
Implementing the sound effects module
Optimizing input system for better user experience
Optimizing game performance on low-end devices by reducing draw calls, occlusion culling, and optimizing materials
Detecting memory issues and resolving them using Addressable Assets
Reducing the final build size to 55% of the initial build
Implementing a special offer system and A/B test features
Creating some visual effects
